Greekman’s (from the team behind Freedman's) is here to stay with indoor and outdoor seating, plus a menu focused on flavors of the Aegean centered around charcoal-grilled souvlaki, bright salads, simple Greek plates (ie- lamb chops) and staple sides (ie- lemony potatoes) all great for sharing. Don't miss frequent specials and a robust all-Greek natural wine list. Ouzo service and cocktails ranging from light and summery to booze forward round out the beverage list. And of course, the signature Freedman’s martini remains! Dinner is served Thursday-Sunday. Walk-in’s are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. The restaurant is also available for takeaway, outside catering, private events and filming opportunities. Opa!

I ordered the cauliflower dish to go. The portion size was decent and the taste was fine however, I had requested no bag or utensils. When I got there, they had used an extra large bag for one small container. I carefully removed the staples so that there was no damage to the bag and it could be reused. However, the server said they could not reuse the bag and just threw it in the trash. Extremely wasteful and unnecessary and untrue.

Nice service with a lovely intimate atmosphere. This place has so much potential to be amazing. It’s not traditional Greek food and the flavor disappointed a bit for some dishes however, the lamb and wagyu skewer were INSANELY good but insultingly small.

We LOVE coming here. Drive from Santa Monica all the time. We get a village salad, fries, chicken and steak skewers — all great portions. Love the gigante beans and lemony potatoes but usually forego so we have room for olive oil ice cream. Also love the seawater mocktail. Staff is amazing. They use InKind so we always end up saving money!

Greekmans is truly a hidden gem in Silver Lake! The atmosphere is inviting, and the food is nothing short of amazing—authentic Greek flavors that are both fresh and flavorful. The service was impeccable, with the staff making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try for anyone craving top-notch Greek cuisine. I’ll definitely be back! The food was quite tasty and high quality, though the dip portions on the souvlaki “party” were almost insultingly small (given they’re the cheapest items in the dish). The service was nice, knowledgeable, and consistent. The white wine bottle was lovely. I would sit inside instead of in the patio, and the inside is beautiful, while the patio was decorated nicely, but inescapably reminds you that you’re technically eating in the parking lot. My only main gripe is the 18% service charge that explicitly states that it’s not inclusive of gratuity. This says, in a somehow unspoken manner, that there’s an expectation that you’ll be parting with at least an additional 30% of the cost of the meal, not forgetting the 10% sales tax too. 💸
